Wendy Bown
I’m Wendy Bown, a freelance filmmaker and photographer based in New Zealand. I’m passionate about capturing authentic stories that connect people to the land and sea. From research through to filming and editing, I work across all aspects of production. For larger projects, I collaborate with a crew of trusted creatives. Above all, I’m drawn to working with good people, meaningful stories and the opportunity to create work that moves people and leaves an impression.
I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts majoring in Photography, which shapes my approach to visual storytelling and continues to influence the way I frame and craft narrative-driven work.
Previously, I worked at Wētā Workshop in Wellington as a camera operator, video editor and photographer.
